Slim Chickens to open its first Idaho location in Meridian this August

MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — A popular restaurant chain is set to open its first Idaho location in Meridian in mid-August. Southern-inspired "Slim Chickens" is set to open on Aug. 14, on Chinden Blvd. in Meridian near 10 Mile Rd.

Slim Chickens offers crispy fried chicken and southern-inspired sides in a family-friendly and casual restaurant. While Slim Chickens has locations across the U.S. and even some international restaurants, this is the first in Idaho.
