The Rise and Rise of Ben Hardy

Ben Hardy whose real name is Ben Jones is best known for his role on the BBC 1 soap EastEnders where he played the hunky Peter Beale, but now the 25-year-old Bournemouth born actor is a Hollywood star after landing a leading role on the box-office smash X-Men Apocalypse.

The huge blockbuster sees Ben star alongside huge A-listers including Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender.

Hardy who played Peter for two years (2013-2015) built up a huge fan-base as his charachter was dealt many blows during his time on Albert Square. He had to deal with his twin sister Lucy’s death along with lots of other turbulent scenes.

Since leaving EastEnders the hunk who has only been acting professionally since 2012 has gone on to land a leading role in the X-Men movie playing Warren Worthington III / Angel and in February it was announced that he will be starring in another Hollywood movie; ‘A Storm in the Stars’ where he will star alongside fellow Brit Douglas Booth and American actress Elle Fanning.

Not only has Ben landed himself a leading role in a huge movie but he is also now a number 1 Box-Office actor after the new X-Men movie topped the US Box-Office with takings of £115.4 million over the weekend.

Ben Hardy has proved that you can move on from being seen as “just a soap actor” and make it big in Hollywood.
