Elena Huelva, a social media influencer, passed away on January 3, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. The 20-year-old Spanish influencer died from complications related to Ewing Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer discovered in 2016.
Elena Huelva frequently wrote about her illness and her battle with the potentially fatal disease. However, shortly before her death, she posted a photo with the caption:
“These are extremely difficult days, and they are becoming more complicated, but as you know, I am becoming stronger and more complicated. I’d like to let you know that I won a long time ago.”
Elena Huelva’s illness, Ewing Sarcoma, is a rare type of cancer that begins in the bones and can spread to other parts of the body, causing long-term treatment complications.

Elena Huelva, a Spanish influencer with over 978,000 Instagram followers, has written extensively about her rare disease. She shared a life update on December 4, 2022, barely a month before her death, saying:
“My life has not been in vain. They found more illness in my windpipe, which is very serious because that is where we breathe.”
Huelva’s health deteriorated, according to her social media posts, and she was taken to the hospital so that she could be cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The doctors, however, allowed her to spend Christmas with her parents, Manuel and Emu, and her 26-year-old elder sister, Emi. Elena Huelva’s family also informed her fans and followers of her death via Instagram stories, writing:
“Eva has been dancing and staring down at you since this morning. Thank you a lot.”
