In 2018, he seemingly overcame the worst health deterioration in a short amount of time.
Since then, Ben’s condition has been worse and his scleroderma has started returning. Ben’s sickness has resulted in more hospital stays over the last year.
Ben has every attribute that makes a great professional trainer: knowledge, certainty, empathy, experience, and most importantly, a passion for the game.
Ben created a training bat, especially for baseball and softball, which is used by Major League teams and the US Women’s National Softball team.
He was a beloved brother, dad, coach, and uncle. His three children were Benny, Mason, and Sage, and he loved them all dearly.
Ben Fonseca’s family will shortly release his obituary. The people whose lives Ben Fonseca guided will always remember him.
Beyond the diamond, his impact as a friend, mentor, and father figure will always be remembered by everyone who has had the good fortune to know him.

Prior to joining the Zoned Sports Academy, Ben Fonseca was a scout for the Milwaukee Brewers and a coach for the Somerset Patriots.

As a coach and player development, he has worked with several training companies, studied players of different ability levels, and used a wide range of training techniques.
It is because of these experiences that he can develop players of various ages. Ben’s résumé is filled with several titles and a wealth of experience coaching at all levels.
In the Babe Ruth League, Division 1, AABC, and Professional titles, he has won titles.
After spending his whole childhood as a baseball player and coach, Ben Fonseca ultimately realized that the ideal venues to use his player development expertise were the front offices of the independent Atlantic League and the Somerset Patriots.
In addition, he was associated with the Kansas City Royals Single-A team and served as a baseball coach at George Mason University in Virginia.
